Living the Salt Life

This past weekend we wrapped up our latest series. The inspiration for it was two fold. First the popular brand Salt Life that was created for enthusiasts who love everything associated with living the salt life. But second, the brand has always reminded me of something Jesus said about living the salt life. In Matthew 5:13, Jesus said you are the salt of the earth! Before he makes this declaration he makes these statements that have become known as the Beatitudes. Each statement describes an attitude that if we will adapt will aid in us living the true salt life. Living the salt life is about experiencing the value of life as well as adding value to life.
