The great thing about a new year is the feeling of a fresh start and new beginning.
The last two Sundays our campus pastors did a great job of helping us celebrate what God has done through us as the church this past year. They also did a great job of challenging us not be content with what we've accomplished, but to roll up our sleeves and roll into this new year expecting God to do even more and greater things in us and through us in 2014!
I am up for the challenge and I hope you are as well.
Lanette and I just spent a few days away at one of our favorite spots - OBX! We enjoyed a great time as we stopped to connect with God and each other as one year ended and a new one began. We're excited about some personal goals we've set and we're equally excited to begin a new year with our church.
This Sunday we kick off a new series based on the book by Mark Batterson, All In. While at the beach God gave me our theme verse for the series, Galatians 2:20 which says:
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
I want to challenge you to memorize the verse and be ready for what God will do in us as we go all in and all out for the All in All!
This will not just be a series to enjoy - it will be a decision that needs to be made!
