Center Point - Finances

John 10:10 tells us that Jesus came so we could have life - and have it to the full. For Jesus to be the center point of our lives, He has to be at the center of every area of our lives - including our money. Few things can suck the life out of us like worrying about money.

So what does it look like for Jesus to the be the center point of our finances?

Tithe regularly

There's only one place in the Bible where God tells us to test him, and it's about tithing: "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." (Malachi 3:10)

If you're not tithing, what's holding you back? Are you afraid God won't take care of you? Are you unwilling to let go of things you want?

One of the fastest ways you'll grow in your relationship with God is in the area of finances. It's also the hardest. How do you trust God with your finances? You have to be willing to step out in faith, trust God, and watch him work. Consider taking the In God We Trust Challenge.

Remember who owns it all: God

The tithe reminds us who really owns it all: God. Leverage the 90% to make an impact. True generosity isn't about giving away money. Generosity is the result of having Christ at the center of your finances.

It's not about money

Even though I'm talking about money, it's really not about money. It's about relationship. God doesn't want your money, He wants your heart.
